The Zoo!

Stacey took us to the zoo on Tuesday. We had a really fun day with her, the Frey girls and the Erdmans. The weather was perfect and honestly, so was the day! The kids had a great time. Even Katelyn didn't seem to mind being pushed around through the park in the stroller!

Josh and Mommy with the elephants. This was the perfect location to eat lunch, so we took a short break here. The baby elephant turned one recently and was playing with the tires. However, the big excitement for Josh and Parker was the construction happening on the other side of the elephant's area. There were backhoes and bulldozers...could it get any better? Animals and trucks?!

This takes "sleeping with the fishes" to a whole new level.

The Hug

Lots of hugs to go around at the zoo. We were able to catch this one between Molly and Josh on film. It's funny how boys instinctively run away from hugging girls! :)

Caged in

I sat Katelyn in Josh's crib and they both thought it was the funniest thing! Josh would lay down and pretend he was sleeping and I would close the door for a few seconds. Then I would open the door saying, "Good morning!" Both would laugh and the fun would start over again.

Peek-a-boo

I did a mini photo shoot first thing this morning. It had been a while and the kids have grown so much in the past few months! I'll provide commentary below...

In the end, they both are having a good time. The two of them laughing together makes me think about the future and how many more good times they will have! I predict there will be many photos like this one!

A pretty regular day...

Today was a nice day. Pop-pop came down for a visit in the morning and we spent some time in the brisk, morning air.

The basement is a great place for Josh to run around and burn off some steam! Katelyn enjoys being in the walker (with her feet dangling!) and watching Josh. She is reaching for her toys and Josh periodically includes her in his play. They are both cute to watch!

Work Weekend at Deep Creek

It's been almost nine months since anyone last stayed at Deep Creek before the flood! Now we can see the light at the end of the tunnel - all we are waiting for now is the trim to go up, plumbing to be installed and the carpet. Then we can start moving in furniture - should happen in April! Thank you to everyone who has helped! We cannot wait to stay in the house!

Work Weekend...Picnic?

Last weekend we went to Deep Creek to do some work on the house. We brought dinner over after Jeff and Kevin finished laying the new wood flooring and had a picnic. Grant stood guard while the men brought in the new kitchen cabinets and John stayed to help install them. Check out the newly painted walls.

Trademark

One of Josh's trademarks is crossing his ankles when he's seated. He's done this ever since he was a baby and anytime he's in his highchair, carseat, on a lap, etc. It's classic Josh!
