Tree Trimming

We spent Sunday evening trimming the Christmas Tree. Katelyn and Josh each hung up their new snowglobe ornaments from Grandma and Pop-Pop Crossman. Josh proudly shows the camera his name! Katelyn is not too interested in the tree. She played with an ornament box for about 30 minutes and continued to play with it today!

We invited our friends, Chris and Melanie, up to help us decorate. They are moving in with us next weekend for a few months while their home is renovated. They were excited to have a home to decorate and we are excited to share this time with them!

Melanie and Chris are due on February 17th!

This was prior to the tree tipping over while Betsy tried to put the star on top. Luckily Jeff and Chris caught it and now it is actually up straight!

Josh and Katelyn really wanted to be held...so we did!

Then we (really, Jeff) collapsed on the floor! There was lots of laughter!

Signs of Christmas

Grandma and Granddad Squires gave Josh and Katelyn a play Nativity Set as an early Christmas present. The kids have really enjoyed playing with it and are starting to identify who the figures are and the Christmas story.

One of my best after-Christmas purchases last year - window clings! We have them on our front and back doors and they are now a daily source of entertainment!

Can you believe how grown-up Josh is acting now?! Josh and Katelyn played with Madison and Avery while Betsy was teaching on Friday. A change of shirts was required after baking cookies and Peanuts was the theme! We love the big, silly smile!

Katelyn's Big Bump

Ok...first things first. Katelyn is fine. The swelling has gone down significantly since it first happened. She honestly only cried for a minute and I gave her some Tylenol anyway.

I remember when Josh got his first black eye and we took pictures of that...and his second and third, etc. This is Katelyn's first real bruise and boy, did she ever get a big knot on her forehead! She fell into the leg of the table while she was playing. Josh insisted in being in the pictures with her. Quite frankly, they were cute together and Katelyn was laughing, so I hope she doesn't mind sharing the spotlight! The second photo makes us laugh because it looks like Josh held the camera out to take a self-portrait...but he didn't! :)
