Highlights from Las Vegas

We had a great trip to Las Vegas with Grandma, Pop-Pop, Uncle Ron, Aunt Ronda, and Cousins Raquel and Randy at the end of March. We took in some sights, ate lots of good food, and managed to relax some too! We spent three full days there before heading to Salt Lake City.

We went to Nellis Air Force Base and watched some jets take off. We even got to see the Thunderbirds - well, sort of! We had been watching the plane for about thirty minutes, had just gotten into the car and out of the parking lot, when...the Thunderbirds took off. Those in the front seat had a great view and even saw some tricks...Josh, Betsy and Grandma didn't see anything. :( Timing is everything! While at Nellis, we went to the "Petting Zoo" to see some old planes. It was really cool to sit in the jets - we all enjoyed it! Raquel and Katelyn took a turn.

The weather was comfortable, but a little windy. We enjoyed one morning at the pool.

We checked out Fremont Street one evening. We went to the Golden Nugget - where there actually is the World's Largest Nugget of Gold!

Easter Saturday

We spent Saturday afternoon with our friends at the Goodman's for their Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Mike and Amber planned a great party and we all had a good time. Happy Birthday, Luke!

We were late for the big hunt, but Wanda hid some eggs for Josh and Katelyn to find.

When we got home, there was even more excitement for Josh and Katelyn! Danny and Brendan dropped off Brendan's old Power Wheels for us and the kids LOVE it! There are few things that produce true belly laughs from Josh and this is one of them. Katelyn didn't get whiplash too bad! :)
