We headed up to Deep Creek on Thursday night with Sam, Leigh, Parker and Macy. It was a fairly eventless ride up. In the morning, we showed them around Deep Creek and the Dads took the kids to a playground nearby while the Moms did some grocery shopping.
Later on Friday, we went hiking at Muddy Creek Falls and Swallow Falls State Park.The kids really enjoyed climbing the rocks and running on the trail. Macy was always close behind the boys - with Katelyn being the little caboose!
Jeff and I had never been there when the water level was so high, so the waterfall was really full. We usually are able to all go out pretty far on the rocks at the top of the falls for a picture, but this time, we carefully walked out a little ways holding on tightly to the kids!

Clean-up time after our hike!
On Saturday morning, we headed up to the Adventure Sports Complex at the top of Wisp. We had a fun time watching the rafting and kayaking competitions and exhibitions.
Josh, Parker, Katelyn and Macy enjoyed watching the rafters and kayakers come down the water and go down the falls just to their right. They waved - hopefully not distracting too many athletes!
That evening we took a boat out on the lake. Only Sam was brave enough to swim. Parker, Macy and Josh had a quick dunk up to their chests all asking to come out of the water right away!
On Sunday, we drove to Ohiopyle to go for a bike ride. The town was hopping and there were lots of rafters on the river and families around. The Dads towed the kids, 2 x 2, down the trail and back up again. We took a hike halfway through our bike ride and saw a waterfall, but couldn't get down to it with the kids. Macy fell in love over the weekend - with Jeff! He was the only one she would go to. Jeff had to share time with both of his girls on the hike back to the bikes!
We figured out on the way back that best combination was to split up the siblings and split up the genders. Everyone seemed much happier this way!
