Some friends told me about the sunflower fields only a few miles from our house. I'm apparently a week or so late as the sunflowers are dying, but...
...there were still a few flowers holding on and smiling towards the sun.
There are about four or five fields like this - just tons of sunflowers. It was still an amazing sight - we'll just try to visit earlier next year!
As we pulled up, Josh said, "Do you know who made the sunflowers? God made the sunflowers." It's in those moments that I'm encouraged and relieved to know that we've at least instilled a few nuggets of truth in our children! I teared up when he stated that - he's listening! :)
