You'll look at these photos and think, "Wow - what a fun evening they had!" I'll let you believe that for a while and wait for the real story at the end. :)
It had all the makings of a really fun evening. We were given some passes to the aquarium and at the last minute, Grandma and Pop-Pop came down too. We had dinner at the harbor and then went to the National Aquarium.
What could be better? Food, Fish and Fun!
Now granted, Josh and Katelyn did do a pretty good job of staying at the restaurant while we waited for Daddy to get there from work. But we never thought that after the dolphin show would be a total meltdown by our youngest. All we saw were dolphins and jellyfish...and then we left. "It isn't worth it," we reasoned. And it wasn't - Katelyn was inconsolable and it was a painful experience for everyone. So we left after an hour and as I carried Katelyn the few blocks to the car, she looked up at me and smiled. "God made you so cute on purpose," I gritted through my teeth. There was a meltdown in the car and a meltdown on the floor of Chick-fil-A next to the table where her ice cream was sitting. You wouldn't believe it looking at the last photo, huh? Maybe I'm taking pictures of the wrong things? When we got home and the kids were asleep (9:00pm?) all the adults were exhausted...how could things have gone South so quickly in such a short amount of time?! They don't call them the terrible two's for nothing!

It's her science center loyalty kicking in.
Your children are so amazing. They look like they are having so much fun! Thanks for all the wonderful comments and advice. I am trying to take lots of naps and am thankful that I don't have to go back to work until May.
