Katelyn's Baby Dedication

This weekend we dedicated Katelyn at church with our friends and families.
It was such a special day!

Josh's favorite part was the music!

Erich and Ginny performed the ceremony

Jack and Luke Hamilton, Macy Erdman, Ellie Frey and Bailey Lightner were also dedicated on Saturday. Three out of the five families had our oldest children dedicated last May - dejavu!

Our families were here to celebrate too.
(We missed you, Pop-Pop!)

Weekend at Nana's in West Virginia

While mommy went on a getaway weekend and daddy worked at Deep Creek, Josh and Katelyn stayed with Nana and Grandma Squires. They all spent Saturday with Aunt Cassi, Grant and Jackson.

Katelyn and Jackson are buddies

Lifeguard on Duty

*Note: Close supervision took place at all times!
(Please don't email us bumbo warnings!)

Bathtime for Josh and Parker!

Compromise

I was looking at my friend Anne's photos of her little girl, Charlotte, playing on a floor mat. And I was thinking, "I should really give Katelyn more floor time." After 1 minute, I remembered why we didn't do it much. As a compromise, I put Josh in the bumbo chair for a snack while Katelyn played. Both seems very happy!

Who let THEM hold us?

Josh (1 1/2 years) holding Katelyn (4 months)
Mia Mager (2 1/2 years) holding Charlotte Mager (4 1/2 months)

Pay it forward

I got this idea from one of my relatives and actually won, so...I feel obligated to continue the trend! Good luck...respond quickly!!!!

1. Be one of the first THREE bloggers to leave a comment on this post, which then entitles you to a handmade item from me (yeah for handmade!).

2. Winners must post this challenge on their own blog, meaning that you will pay it forward, creating a handmade gift -anything!- for the first THREE bloggers who leave a comment on YOUR post about this giveaway!

3. The gift that you send to your 3 friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember it’s the spirit and the thought that count!

4. When you receive your gift, blog about it!

If you are not one of the first three to comment on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same! It's all about paying it forward. (Idea from my second cousin Michelle in Utah!)

Our Weekend

We had a lot of fun this past weekend. On Friday, we went to the aquarium with our friends, Kate, Jed and Stacey. Josh loved the waterfall and the fish. And he serenaded the sharks with his rendition of Mary had a little lamb. Afterwards, we had a sleepover with the Raabs to celebrate National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day on Saturday morning!
The weekend was beautiful, so Josh helped Daddy put together the wagon that Grandma and Grandpa got the kids for Christmas. When Jeff pulled out his hammer, Josh went to his toy tool bench and brought his hammer in also! Josh liked being pulled around! Everyone spent more time outside on Sunday walking the NCR trail with the Lightners.
Katelyn enjoyed playing with Josh and her grandparents. She sat up in the Bumbo chair and gave us great smiles! She likes to kick and suck on her hands.

The triplets!

Quiet Baby

This may help answer the question,
"Why are there so many photos of Josh today?"
We'll work on getting some "action" shots of Katelyn.
(But just look at those yummy cheeks!)

Seriously? Again?

It's Wednesday, so once again, Josh gets another bruise near the eye. This time it is over the right eye and the culprit was the bottom of the couch...you know, the only part that isn't padded! The pictures don't do it justice...I'll see if I can get a good one while he's in his highchair tonight! :) Oh, the life of a little boy!

You know you're ready for a nap when you voluntarily lie down on a plastic container!

Our Big Helper

Josh helped Daddy shovel this weekend.
It was hard work getting through the ice!

Josh is so thorough that he even shovels the grass!
