Choo-Choo

Josh loves trains. In fact, he loves any type of transportation...cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, even lawnmowers! We decided to park at the Light Rail stop near our house and take a little trip to nowhere. Lucky for us, at the stop where we decided to get off to turn around, they were doing construction! So, we enjoyed watching the excavator and front loader. (Jeff and I can now accurately identify all the different types of construction equipment from Josh's truck books!) After our detour, we got back on the Light Rail and headed back to Hunt Valley where we ate lunch and headed home. It was a really fun outing and Josh hasn't stopped talking about the choo-choo!

"Where Dada?"

Almost every afternoon, Josh waits for Jeff to come home. He asks over and over, "Where Dada?" He can't stay in one spot of course, but manages to keep himself on the rug. I'm not sure if he always "poses" like this or if it was just because he knew I had the camera out. Josh looks so cute standing at the door in his diaper!

Grant's Birthday Celebration

We spent last weekend in West Virginia to celebrate Grant's 5th birthday and Father's Day. Unfortunately, the only pictures I took were of the first day! We met Kevin, Cassi, Grant and Jackson for dinner at Pokey Dots. Josh really only wanted to play with the propeller on the airplane tray and eat the whipped cream off of the ice cream sundae. (It was HUGE!) Then we got to Helen's just in time for baths, Josh's treatment and bedtime! The rest of the weekend was a lot of fun. We went to Valley World's of Fun and bowled, played on the slides, bounced and played arcade games. We look forward to going there again!

Week in Review

Since a week has passed since the last post, I decided to just do one post with everything! We played with Parker and Macy Erdman a few times this week. Parker and Josh took a "buddy" picture - they really are cute! As always, Daddy and Josh read lots of books together. Katelyn decided she doesn't want to lean back in her bouncy chair anymore and prefers to sit up. This also is true in the bathtub, so now we have two big kids sitting in the tub playing with toys! Josh demonstrated this morning that he is a "big kid" now by setting up his own track to play with his trains. He's very independent!

Happy 5th Birthday Grant!

Katelyn

Katelyn is trying to hold the sippy cup now and getting used to drinking from it. She is a playful baby with big smiles!

Trip to Texas

Jeff had a last minute trip to Texas and we decided to make it a mini-vacation for the family. Ok, so mini-vacation for Betsy, Josh and Katelyn - Jeff had to work the entire time. We stayed with my second cousin Michelle and her husband and son, Dan and Jacob. We had a great time and hope to do it again in the near future! Enjoy the photos below...

Tuesday

We arrived in Dallas, Texas around 10:00am on Tuesday morning. Michelle and Jacob picked us up at the airport and Jeff went to work. Josh and Jake got to know each other on the trampoline, the kiddy pool and playing with pots and pans at the house. The weather was beautiful all week and we spent a lot of time outdoors. We were so glad to be there!

The day ended on the tramp with the dads

Wednesday

On Wednesday we played at home in the morning. After a trip to the store, we decided to search for a sprayground at a local rec center. The boys loved it! It was a really fun day...and free! We ended the day with baths for the kids and Settlers until midnight.

The window sill in Jake's room was just the right height

Jacob thought Katelyn was really interesting

The boys started off small...

Josh got a little braver...

But Jake was all over the place...he LOVES the water!
