This week

The warmer weather has started (with some freezing days in between), so we've been spending a lot of time outdoors. Buzz has been getting a workout blowing bubbles!

Lots of time on the deck

Katelyn sporting her pigtails!

Nana wasn't feeling well, so Josh drew her this picture to help her feel better!
Happy 35th Birthday, Daddy!

Katelyn is the official tester of all batter - today was blueberry muffins!

Minnie at the Mall!

Minnie Mouse was at the Towson Town Center today! We found out at the last minute and knew this was a must-see event for us. Josh and Katelyn found their Mickey and Minnie Ears and each put on some Disney gear...then drove their jeep to the mall. :)

We walked from the parking garage thru the mall with both kids yelling, "Minnie! Where are you?!" They were really cute with their ears on!
There was more calling out to Minnie while we were in line.

Katelyn gave Minnie a big hug, but then got a little shy.

Minnie showed Katelyn how she loved seeing her Minnie hoodie and Minnie ears. This warmed Katelyn back up again and she was ready to pose!

Say, "Minnie!"
***Josh declined having his picture taken with Minnie and just admired from afar. :)***

Spring is coming!

There is not much motivation for Josh to take a nap now, especially when we play outside while Katelyn is sleeping. But it was a beautiful afternoon...

Preschool with Pop-Pop

Wednesday was Dad's Day at Josh's school. Pop-Pop filled in for Daddy while he was away. Josh woke up talking about going to school with Pop-Pop and they had a great day!

First Zoo Visit of the Spring

Daddy had to travel for work last week, so we took some time before he left to go to the zoo! It was the first visit of the spring (well, almost!) and it was fun to be back. Even though some animals weren't out yet, the ones that had stayed out in the cooler weather were more active than usual.

Check out the elephant!

Josh enjoyed the chimps...until one of the chimps ran by and banged on the window near his head. They are tricksters!

Katelyn practiced walking like a chimp. It was fun to see her doing it this year and thinking about how Josh imitated the chimps last spring. Our baby is growing up!

Weekend at Nana's

Mr. Bear came home from school with Josh for the weekend.
Lucky him got a roadtrip to West Virginia.

On Saturday, we played with Grant and Jackson and it was nice enough to be outside for bubbles, soccer and Red Light, Green Light! Before dinner, we headed to the playground near for some more fun with Nana.

Uncie and Joshy

Before bed, Nana showed Josh how to play "Mary had a Little Lamb" on her piano and Katelyn helped sing along. Josh was really excited and they played again on Sunday morning before breakfast with Grant and Jackson.

See you all in a few weeks!

It seemed like a good idea...

You'll look at these photos and think, "Wow - what a fun evening they had!" I'll let you believe that for a while and wait for the real story at the end. :)

It had all the makings of a really fun evening. We were given some passes to the aquarium and at the last minute, Grandma and Pop-Pop came down too. We had dinner at the harbor and then went to the National Aquarium.
What could be better? Food, Fish and Fun!
Now granted, Josh and Katelyn did do a pretty good job of staying at the restaurant while we waited for Daddy to get there from work. But we never thought that after the dolphin show would be a total meltdown by our youngest. All we saw were dolphins and jellyfish...and then we left. "It isn't worth it," we reasoned. And it wasn't - Katelyn was inconsolable and it was a painful experience for everyone. So we left after an hour and as I carried Katelyn the few blocks to the car, she looked up at me and smiled. "God made you so cute on purpose," I gritted through my teeth. There was a meltdown in the car and a meltdown on the floor of Chick-fil-A next to the table where her ice cream was sitting. You wouldn't believe it looking at the last photo, huh? Maybe I'm taking pictures of the wrong things? When we got home and the kids were asleep (9:00pm?) all the adults were exhausted...how could things have gone South so quickly in such a short amount of time?! They don't call them the terrible two's for nothing!

Sunshiny Day

Spring is in the air and we are savoring every warm day that comes our way. These nice days have been such a refreshing change of pace and great reminder that soon we'll be outside everyday - we just have to hold on a little longer!
