Jed...and Kate and Stacey too

Jed is one of Josh's favorite people - even though Jed scared him when he jumped up in excited with the US tied Canada in the hockey game yesterday! We had a fun visit and Katelyn enjoyed playing with the ladies. Oh, and the ice cream too!

New Friends

We had dinner with friends last night that we haven't seen in years. Betsy went to college with Amy and runs into Amy's husband, Chris, weekly at the grocery store - Josh and Katelyn didn't recognize him out of context! We had a really fun time. Josh especially loved playing with Brendan (5) and James (4). They are full of energy and Josh thought they were really cool! Katelyn and Brigid (19 months) played together too and gave each other some big hugs. We hope it's isn't two more years before we hang out again!

Big hugs!
*Somehow there are no pictures of Brendan - he must have been running when the camera was out! Sorry Buddy!!!

Hilarious Photo

All guests coming into the Aquarium get their photo taken. Here are the Dads and the Kids from last weekend. Sam with Parker and Macy, Ben with Bailey, and Jeff with Katelyn and Josh (crying!). This picture was too funny not to post!

To see what Bailey really looks like, check out The B Hive link to the left. There are pictures of Josh, Katelyn and Bailey from tonight.

Fun with Mia and Charlotte

We spent Tuesday night with Anne, Brent, Mia and Charlotte on Tuesday night while Jeff was in Georgia. We had a really good time and Anne and I even got some sewing done! (That will be another post.)

ZINGO! Mia taught Josh how to play his first game.
Mia also "read" to Josh - it was really, really cute.

The four kids liked playing together in the diner!

Snow on Katelyn's Terms

This afternoon we went for a walk and then decided to spend some time outside shoveling the sidewalk and mailbox area of the road. The kids played in the driveway and ventured in the snow a little. It was refreshing to be outside!

For the first time, Katelyn was interested in the snow and not screaming!

Look Mom - No Tears!

Josh helping shovel the walk

"It's very heavy!"

Welcome Home, Mommy...we missed you!

Katelyn really did miss Mommy - even though she isn't showing it. :)

Daddies Gone Wild - Day 2

Day 2 with the Dads: A Trip to the Aquarium with Sam, Parker, Macy, Ben, and Bailey.

This is the longest that Josh and Parker (and Macy - hidden behind Parker) sat still all day...other than the 2D Wonderpets movie!

Bubbles...bubbles...bubbles!!!

What's better than having lunch while watching the Dolphin Show? Having dessert, too (leftover cookies from last night).

Josh (and Katelyn) helped make dinner tonight - homemade pizza!

The almost finished product...see something odd?

That's right...Josh tried to fit HIS slice of pepperoni on.

When the Mommies Are Away...

...the kids will play!!! Betsy and Betty are at a women's retreat this weekend, so Jeff and Ben had fun with the kids (and a little fun themselves, too).

Katelyn, Josh, and Bailey eyeing up a batch of cookies.

Josh "cleaning" the scoop.

I know what you're thinking...another Thomas the Train toy and video? Well, this toy was worth it! It had a coupon for a free ride on a real train! Betsy, Josh, and Katelyn are going with Pop-Pop and Grandma on a 59 hour ride across the US next month - I think we got our money's worth!!!

Day with Gigi Gallo in Shrewsbury

Gigi Gallo has been staying with Betsy's parents for the last month while recuperating from a fractured femur. She has been working really hard and is going home next week! We're going to miss having her so close!

Katelyn attempts to take Gigi for a ride

Josh actually can push Gigi across the room all by himself!

Just like Little Red Riding Hood

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

We attempted a photo with Katelyn, but she wasn't having it. Josh brought his duck over to Gigi, put it on her lap and said, "Ducky needs a picture with Gigi!" It was really cute!

Escape from the snow - Our trip the Maryland Science Center!

We made it out of the house! It was a victory in itself just to get through the traffic and piles of snow downtown - and the prize was a really fun morning! We hadn't been to the Science Center in months and this was the first time that Katelyn could walk and really participate in the same activities as Josh. It was a great time!

Katelyn enjoying water play - a family favorite!

Josh really discovered some new features of the table and did a great job aiming the water into the frog. He'll be ready for the state fair this summer!

Josh and Katelyn playing in the same place - woohoo!!!

Macy and Josh during storytime. We may need to seperate them next time! :)

Josh and Parker playing in the snow. The story was about Katy the tractor who plowed the city and afterwards, the kids got to plow their own city! Snow + tractors = Josh is having the best time!

Josh stayed so long at the table that he got some one-on-one instruction with Lydia!

Katelyn and Macy back at the water play table!

Josh building with the pipes. This was the first time he's discovered this corner of the room and figured out how to put them together with just a little help!

Icicles

We've been watching these icicles grow over the past week through our kitchen window. We keep knocking down the ones in the front of the house so nobody gets hurt, but these are harmless. Aren't they beautiful?!

A Visit to Nana's House

Our original plans were to all meet at Deep Creek this weekend, but with 5+ feet of snow, we weren't able to get to the house. So, plan B: All stay at Nana's house! We had fun with Nana, Uncie, Unco, Aunt Cassi, Grant and Jackson.

Playing some hide-and-seek

Jackson and Josh playing with the new trains!

Jackson enjoying his snack with Uncle Jeff

Nana and the babies! (Can you believe they are almost 16 months old?)

Fun climbing the stairs
This seems to be the best picture I have of the two of them smiling!

Such a pretty girl!

Josh and Grant enjoying dessert
They have the same expression on their faces - must be a Squires thing!

Katelyn's favorite find of the weekend - Nana's little tea pots

Christmas with Granddad and Grandma

Now, we did spend time with Granddad and Grandma before Christmas in Florida. But our plans to exchange gifts at New Years were postponed due to illness. On Friday, we finally had our visit!

It was a joint Christmas and Valentine's Day celebration.
Josh helped put the sprinkles on the heart cookies.
Katelyn and Josh posing with Mardi the cat

Josh started opening this present a little early, but Grandma didn't mind!

Granddad and Grandma - we aren't sure what Josh and Katelyn are looking at!
