Beach Photos

We spent the weekend in Salisbury with the Nelsons.
We had a really great weekend complete with the
beach and zoo. Thank you for such a fun time!

This is not a great photo, but the only one
we had of Baby Wesley. Josh LOVED playing
with him and was eager to make him laugh.
(Yes...Wes is crying here!)

Josh "battled" the waves for a few hours at the beach.
You can see that he's talking in this picture...talking trash
big time. It was very cute. He would put out his fists and run
at the waves. Some knocked him down and he threw
himself down into others. He LOVED it...we're so looking
forward to our beach trip in August!

Shannon insisted that we have the full Ocean City
experience. So, after the beach, we grabbed fries from
Thrashers and then ice cream from Dumsers.
We did a drive by of Assateague Island
 and saw a few horses too.

Sweet Sunday

Our Sunday afternoon started with some bocce practice.

Then a lovely evening at Ladew Topiary Gardens.
It was our first time, so I'm crossing this off the list of
"museums" to see this summer. We had a really great time.

It was the steel-drum band that brought us.
The music was great and there were stilt walkers
and a guy who did the limbo with fire. 

Okay - it wasn't really the music that brought us there...
It was to hang out with Holly and Quincy.
And we had a yummy dinner too - thank you!

Happy Birthday, YiaYia!

We had a really great evening in Little Italy to celebrate
YiaYia's birthday. We attempted to try a new restaurant,
but the power was out on that block. So, we headed to
our regular - Chiapparelli's. Dinner was great as usual!
After dinner, we walked down to the bocce courts.

It was the Wednesday night bocce league.
Josh and Katelyn were very, very interested!

Midway through the match, we walked down to
Vacarro's for gelato. Then we came back to sit and watch
the next match. It was such a great night!

Family Fun

Yummy Ice Cream

We went to the Turkey Hill Experience with our friend
Kate for the day. It was a fun few hours...with
all you can eat ice cream!

Soccer Camp

Parker, Macy, Katelyn & Josh on their first day of camp.

Katelyn's favorite thing that she learned at camp
was sitting on the soccer ball. She was eager to show
Daddy when he got home from work that night. 

Being the "caller" for soccer Red Light/Green Light.

Katelyn was originally assigned to the other team. But she
refused to wear the pinny, so they switched her out.
I'm pretty sure it was her strategy to be on the same team
with her buddies. They named their team the:
Zebra Tiger Sharks. It was a group effort.

Eagle Bay 2012

We were invited up to Eagle Bay again this summer to the Prinzing's camp. It was a beautiful week and we had a really great time. A special thanks to the Captain, Mrs. P, and Stacey for being such great hosts. And to Kate, Jed and Greg for being so much fun and spending hours in lake with Josh and Katelyn. 

  

Kate took Josh out on the jet ski first. Katelyn wanted to
swim to the buoy with Daddy instead.

Katelyn spent HOURS in the water. She just loved it!

The next day Katelyn decided to give the jet ski a try...
she liked it!

Josh and Daddy had a special moment.

The Captain took us out for a boat ride.
Josh was his first-mate. He stayed on the
lookout for pirates. 

Katelyn fell asleep after her time at driving
the boat. She was exhausted!

There was even time to play in the sand!
