Gigi Squires' 90th Birthday Celebration

We spent the weekend in Lancaster with the Squires' family celebrating Jeff's grandmother's 90th Birthday! All of the extended family was there and we enjoyed a nice birthday party on Sunday. Earlier in the day, we took the kids to the Choo Choo Barn...next time we will hit the Strasburg railroad! Other highlights included Katelyn's first taste(s) of ice cream at Katie's Kitchen and yummy Amish cooking! (I don't have these photos, so I'll update later!)

Picnic, Carousel and Trains

Here are a few more photos from the Maryland Science Center trip from yesterday. We packed a lunch and had a picnic in the harbor while watching the boats. Then Grant, Josh and Betsy went on the world's longest carousel ride. Seriously, we were on for at least ten minutes! The girl who ran the ride was on her cell phone and didn't seem to keep track of us. The kids thought it was great, but the adult standing on the ride holding Josh was getting dizzy! Grant declared it his favorite part of the day at the time. Today, we rode the light rail to nowhere and Grant and Josh really liked it. Josh went to bed talking about it - the choo-choo, tracks, the bridge over the water, everything!
