It's been 11 months since Josh received his first pets from our friends. Well, 11 months and 9 fish later, we arrive at our new tank dwellers. Mommy and Daddy made it to PetSmart today and picked out three new fish for Josh. They are all Mickey's and have Mickey Mouse's silohette on their tail fins. The worker at PetSmart (Lauren - she's our new favorite - very knowledgable and competent!) suggested we get three of the same gender, so we have three females. They have been schooling together all afternoon and evening, so we're at least off to a good start!
Josh went through three sets of names this evening. He started off naming them, "Horsey, Ducky and Baby" after his two stuffed animals and Katelyn's babydoll. Then he moved to, "Mickey, Minnie, and Daisy." Before bed, he decided to name them, "Daddy, Josh and Katelyn" with plans of getting a fourth fish for his birthday to name Mommy. When Mommy went to tuck him back into bed tonight, he told her the fish were, "Mommy, Josh and Katelyn" and that we need to get a Daddy fish. He's playing it smart!
